Are you an avid writer?
The "Day Book Duvet can be removed and placed over your next day
book, or journal ledger.
Learn how to collage using fabrics in lieu of paint, needles in place
of brushes, and embellishments in order to create dimension. We
will begin designing our fabric book cover by choosing an inspiring
vintage image as the focal point for our composition. Each duvet
will have a pocket to hold a pencil or pens, and a bookmark made of
ribbon and a weighted object such as a key or charm. Tips and
techniques such as: applique', bead working and hand stitching will be
demonstrated.
$10.00 class supply fee
A professional jewelry designer living in South Florida for over 20 years, Jana Newton is an award winning artist and art teacher. Her work is featured in in the book, Beaded Jewelry by Carol Taylor, and has been the subject of articles in several magazines and newspapers throughout Florida. In 2002, Jana was certified as a "Special Expert in the Field of Art" and began teaching in 1998.
