Create beautiful little butterfly creatures to place into wonder cabinets, incorporate into charming mobiles or sew into lovely dolls. This workshop will cover a wide variety of useful techniques: basic sculpting, raised effects on paper and wire, molding polymer and quick painting finishes. Many supplies will be provided, especially the more unusual ones like interference paints and polymer mediums. Various molds will also be available.
Supply List:
- 1 block beige polymer clay (Premo has the best texture)
- small, sharp paper scissors
- Xacto knife
- small tube of glue
- frame box to display/transport
- small pack of decorative papers
- medium paintbrush for washes
- fine paintbrush for detail work
- medium cheap brush for applying glues and mediums
- heat gun - I will bring a few, but if you are impatient (like me) bring one! I always have one in my traveling studio, since they are useful for speed drying paint and curing polymer.
