Icon Triptych Book

In this class we will be making a beautiful soft cover icon triptych book that is embellished on both sides.

We will be working with transfer, adding texture to modeling paste, tearing and layering paper with fabrics, embellishing with beads, gold foil, gorgeous trims, coins, cutting a pretty church window, and working with beautiful art pictures.

I will have rusting solution on hand for those wishing to age the frames. I will also supply the canvas paper foundation.

Now is the time to pull out that special fabric, beautiful trims, special buttons, those vintage jewelry pieces and get ready to create a lovely book to be displayed in your favorite room.

Toni Curtis is a self taught mixed-media artist. After 17 years of making cloth art dolls, she discovered altered art. Her altering adventure began with books but soon expanded to other areas and also to incorporating beautiful fabrics into her work. Many of her hand-made art bags include original hand-drawn faces.
