Thomas and Romona Ashman live and work in Bakersfield CA. Thomas is a public school teacher and Romona works in the medical field. Their work has been featured in Somerset Studio's magazine, and also the book Signatures. Their jewelry was featured in the recent Design Originals release, Simply Soldered, and are teaching classes at a growing number of national retreats and all over southern and central California. Thomas and Romona employ mixed-media/assemblage to express eclectic visions in sculpture, jewelry, journals, art dolls, and other oddities. Finding much of their inspiration in classic literature, drama, and their favorite films, Thomas and Romona create objects and workshops that bring the stories to life as these artifacts and characters are "transported" from the imagination into reality.
