Place of Magic

So, if you ever find yourself heading east up hwy. 2 towards Leavenworth, about halfway there you will see a little town of Index.  This town was once a bustling hub providing granite, gold, silver and other precious materials to Seattle.  There is a lot of really good (magical) energy here.  You can feel it.  Anyway…just past Index, you will see mile marker 38.  A little bit past the marker you will see the scene below….a giant profile of a face looking across the road on your left and a little bit of a turn off on the right to park.  Secure your car and climb over the railing to your right and proceed down the hill.

You will see giant sleeping faces in the rocks.  They are the guardians.

Teesha, thank you thank you thAnk you. This post just filled my heart and reminded of my childhood hiking in the mountains in Upstate New York. Your place is even more magical but in nature you can make wherever u are magical. I live in North Florida now which has its southern beauty and magic. I really do miss my mountains though at Times. I’m very lucky for on my little 1/4 acre of land I have the most beautiful old oaks and all kinds of palms and pine trees. What I’m saying is I just loved those pics and I did see the faces. I am unable now to hike like that because of spinal disease and pain limiting that part of my life. Used to hike and camp all the time. I did find time now for my art which helps me and I just love your work and your wonderful attitude. I’m 57 now and am very humbled and love even more the magic of nature , of life. God bless you sweet spirit for your wonderful art and sharing of your experiences. You make me see again.
